A Lot As Gone Under The Bridge

Haven't wrote for two years now and it feels quite a long time. So much as gone by, that I will need to summarize my life. So here's what has happened in the meantime:
1. I met the girl of my dreams
2. I propossed to her, and we're getting married.
3. We decided to find ourselves a new home.
4. We moved to England.
5. New jobs, new, new place and new friends.
6. We're lovin' it.

(Oh! And my "mano" got married and my "irmao" as also proposed and is going to get married)

I promise, that at least once a month I will write something in my blog. :-)

Its christmas again. It is most definately one of the best times of the year I enjoy. I have set my tree up already... not a big tree, but serves the purpose.

Now! Off to christmas shopping and gift hunting...

Verão 2008

Helllloooo pessoal,

Já faz algum tempo que não escrevo por aqui. A verdade é que tenho uma enorme preguiça em escrever e além do mais não tenho jeitinho nenhum. Encontro-me várias vezes aqui no blog em frente a "add new post" e simplesmente não sai nada.

Bem, o pessoal que me conhece bem, sabe que fiz uma mudança na minha vida e estou extremamente feliz por esta mudança.

Serendipity

  • 1754 Horace Walpole, The Project Gutenberg Etext of The Letters of Horace Walpole, vol. 2, Letter 90, To Sir Horace Mann, Arlington Street, Jan. 28, 1754.
This discovery, indeed, is almost of that kind which I call Serendipity, a very expressive word, which, as I have nothing better to tell you, I shall endeavour to explain to you: you will understand it better by the derivation than by the definition. I once read a silly fairy tale, called "The Three Princes of Serendip;" as their Highnesses travelled, they were always making discoveries, by accidents and sagacity, of things which they were not in quest of: for instance, one of them discovered that a mule blind of the right eye had travelled the same road lately, because the grass was eaten only on the left side, where it was worse than on the right--now do you understand Serendipity? One of the most remarkable instances of this accidental Sagacity, (for you must observe that no discovery of a thing you are looking for comes under this description,) was of my Lord Shaftsbury, who, happening to dine at Lord Chancellor Clarendon's, found out the marriage of the Duke of York and Mrs. Hyde, by the respect with which her mother treated her at table.

United States of America

My first time in the States. Hopefully not the last, has I enjoyed every moment I was there, not that it was a long stay, but I would have liked it to have been longer, specially in New York city.

First time out to North Carlolina, with direct flight from London to Raleigh/Durham and a 1 hour 20 minutes down to Pine Hurst, Little River. Very relaxing and calm place to visit. This picture is to the left was taken in the very nice little town of Pine Hurst, which was beautifully decorated for christmas.

48 hours. After the nice stay at Little River we flew back up to New York and had 48 hours of pure fun. A bit hard to decide what you want to do and see in such a short time and a big city. But worthwile.

My Long Lost Post

Testing or something.
